The Pastor’s Corner

Welcome to “The Pastor’s Corner”, a space for reflection, guidance, and inspiration. As your pastor, I am honored to share this platform with you and explore our faith journey together.

As we navigate life’s challenges, it is important to remember that we are not alone. Our faith community is here to support and uplift us. Together, we can find solace in God’s love and grace.

In this space, I hope to offer insight into assorted topics related to faith, such as prayer, forgiveness, and gratitude. I will share reflections on scripture and offer guidance on how we can apply its teachings in our daily lives.

Thrive in 2025

Pastor Alvin Armstrong / March 22, 2025

 Scripture Reading:

·        (Pro 13:19 MSG)  Souls who follow their hearts thrive; fools bent on evil despise matters of soul.

·        (Jer 30:17 MSG)  As for you, I’ll come with healing, curing the incurable, Because they all gave up on you and dismissed you as hopeless— that good-for-nothing Zion.’

·        (Jer 30:18 MSG)  “Again, GOD’s Message: “‘I’ll turn things around for Jacob. I’ll compassionately come in and rebuild homes. The town will be rebuilt on its old foundations; the mansions will be splendid again.

Connecting with God through Praise & Worship

Connecting with God through Praise and Worship

Have you ever lost anyone you loved to death, like a parent, child, close friend, etc., and thought about how much you loved them and will miss them? Many of us have and if the truth be told, our first thought is not “praise God”.  But we must always remember to keep God first.

It is important to worship and praise God through the good and the bad times. As weird as it may sound, some Christians do not feel praise and worship is something every believer needs to do. But when you know better, you can do better.

·       (Jas 4:17)  Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Marriage - Family Matters

Pastor Alvin Atmstrong / June 20, 2024

·        (Eph 5:21 KJV)  Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

·        (Eph 5:22 KJV)  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

It is not just the Wife who needs to submit – but the preceding verse states that both the husband and wife should submit to each other.

I N T R O D U C T I O N… … .

Tony Evans gave a good analogy and said something profound;

“Not long ago he discovered a lot of movement, trimmer and shimmer in his steering wheel. He took it to be checked out only to find out that it was not the wheel itself that was the problem – but the ALIGNMENT that

Living Single: A Call to Holiness

Pastor Lorraine Armstrong / July 31, 2023

I have discovered something about myself that I’d like to share with you. I have learned the importance of returning to living single. Living single is not talking about people who are “single”, not married, or in a relationship. Living single is a personal decision of Christians who has made the choice to spend more time with their personal savior one on one.

This may not apply to everyone, but some of us have had a hard time making the world around us quiet enough to hear God. The quiet time is to seek God and listen for instructions for our individual lives. Asking Him which way to go, what to remove or add to our lives. It’s not a one-time thing; we should seek God to make sure we are on the right track for our personal journeys as we move forwar

The Favor of God

Pastor Alvin Armstrong / June 27, 2023

Favor is an area with which every born-again believer has but is unknown to many Christians. I know personally that I’ve said that “I have favor with God” but did not have a good understanding of what FAVOR really meant.

    Def:  Favor = H2580    חֵן   chên     khane

From H2603; graciousness, that is, subjectively (kindness, favor) or objectively (beauty): - favour, grace (-ious), pleasant, precious, [well-] favoured.

Notice that 1 definition for favor is GRACE. Abraham found favor (grace)

REDEEMED FROM THE PAST

Pastor Alvin Armstrong / April 11, 2023

I want to get into something that for the most part, has been overlooked or, ignored, mostly on purpose because of deep hurts and strongholds of the enemy.

When you get upset about what somebody has done, (something in the past), you have allowed that person to have control over your life. You may have a certain expectation and it was not met. You can do something about it starting today to make a difference.

Feelings follow thoughts. Change your thoughts and you change your feelings. If you find that difficult to do, take some positive actions. {Here is something else, “Thoughts move you to Action then to end results. Therefore, Wrong thoughts = wrong

Faith

INFORMATION ABOUT FAITH

“FAITH”, is a word that I’m sure you’ve heard that has been spoken at one time or another by those within the Christian world and by those without. People of the world use this word on an everyday basis with a natural understanding of its meaning.

Many Christians, unknowingly and unconsciously, will use the same definition as the world. But more and more Christians are coming into the knowledge of FAITH (from a biblical perspective), and its usage.

“Faith” - Webster’s Definition: To trust, 1. unquestioning BELIEF in God, religion, 2. Complete tru

Prayer — Missing in your life?

Pastor Alvin Armstrong / January 12, 2023
Basic Simple things regarding Prayer

I have noticed the decline of the power of God in many churches and people, (even in my own life and ministry), and I know that God is not pleased. So, I plan to do something about it and I trust that if you since the power of god is diminishing in your life, you will as well.

Most people feel as though they do not pray enough, whether they are praying for five minutes or an hour, if emotions and feelings are magnified more than the W.O.G., it will not be unusual to feel terribly inadequate when it comes to prayer and intercession.

What is PRAYER?
  1. Joining forces with God the Father: God can do nothing in the earth until somebody’s prayers prayer license God to move, and act.
